IRC french champions with

National championship winners ! On 14 and 15 November, with the crew of, we won the final of the French IRC Championship played on monotypes Grand Surprise in La Rochelle. This title nicely punctuated a full and rich season that saw us, aboard JPK 1010 Alkaid (first name) (name of race) win all the races offshore in which we were engaged: Armen Race, Pornic-Gijon in Double, Fastnet Race. On the inshore regattas the boat was a subscriber for second places (Spi Ouest France, La Rochelle and Le Crouesty GPs, Atlantic Telegram).

Genoa and spi trimmer during can races, tactician when Daniel Péponnet (former 420 dinghy world champion) was absent, co-skipper for double handed races, navigator during Armen race, navigator-helmsman for Fastnet race, in charge of many deliveries during all the seasoc more than one trip, I spent an amazing year on a remarkably prepared boat, very well led by its owner, and equipped with a crew based largely family, particularly effective!

Such a great pleasure to sail like this ….

August 2015 : it was my fourth participation in Fastnet Race, after 1979, 1983 and 1985 editions. That time we won IRC4 classification, on board JPK 1010 (first name Alkaïd. At the same time we finished third overall , more than two hours of the grand winner Courrier du Léon (JPK 1080),… but only ten seconds from Dream Pearls (another JPK 1080). Never try to find where you lost this ten seconds (too annoying). I prefer to remember that very particular feeling when we heard the gun on finishing line.
