Return cruise in the Aeolian

The Aeolian Islands are worth about fifteen miles to the shortest of the northern coast of Sicily, but to a good day (or one night) of sea of Palermo, or thirty miles from the port Calabrian of Tropéa, in the south of the Italian boot. The moorings are quite uncomfortable, as well because of the lack of a bay or a cove a little closed as the large passage of big yachts and passenger ships. At the edge of the volcanic shores the funds fall at peak, we throw anchor in a lot of background, there are very few shelters in case of bad weather, and the rare marinas are sometimes horribly expensive (98 euros a night in Salina for an Elan 340). These are the possible boring aspects of the archipelago, because once you say all this, what would you complain about? On the spot, we sail in chip jumps not exceeding ten miles. No island resembles its neighbors, since the most remote and the least crowded (Filicudi and Alicudi-we did not push until this last) up to the most flirtatious-and most posh-Panarea, not forgetting the most famous, Stromboli, to the volcano Still active, the peaceful Vulcano, a little neglected, or the most stirring-the “capital”-Lipari. In summer the winds are modest but they are not complaining, given what has been stated above on the moorings; We burn a little diesel oil under the wind of the islands, but the thermal is often at the rendezvous. If a gale is announced, we retreat to the anchorage of Vulcano, or in a very well sheltered port of Lipari (this was our option, and we should never complain about an episode of a fight on a cruise, it is the pretext to rent a car for another form of Touris Me). Some landscapes are astonishing (we will not say more to avoid hyperbole and superlatives, the picture below will speak for itself); The gastronomy… We have not been bored, and we are asking for more. A cruise in these places is organized very easily, on a week if necessary, but certainly more comfortable over fifteen days, with a yacht rental reserved for example in Palermo (airfare are cheap). Notice to amateurs…
