Back to Cowes

High Street in the quiet and beautiful light of a Monday in June.

I have been carrying out a consultancy mission to accompany a client in the acquisition of his future cruiser-racer.  This is how the day after the Morgan Cup I was in Cowes to visit a Elan 350. In this small town I have accumulated so many memories, since my first stopover with the family boat until 2016 UK championship UK  followed by the Commodore’s Cup with Andrew Hurst, editor of Seahorse magazine. I remember all my Cowes weeks and RORC races onboard one-ton Crazy Horse, my regattas at the helm of my father’s half-tonner, Admiral’s Cups with Ossian and afterwards Fiere Lady. Landing from the Red Funnel shuttle to the High Street is my personal little madeleine.
